CHALLENGES
One-person sales team needed a scalable, effective outreach solution
As the sole member of the sales team at 10x Management, Sam Z had experimented with virtually every top-of-funnel outreach strategy available - internal SDRs, outsourced agencies for email and LinkedIn outreach, and cold calling. Yet nothing seemed to deliver consistent results at a reasonable cost.
"Over the years we have tried essentially everything you could imagine in terms of top of the funnel outreach," Sam explains. "We've done a bit of everything, and didn't really crack the code for whatever reason."

After evaluating Valley, Sam was initially drawn to the significantly lower price point compared to their agency solution. "The price was at a point where it was such a low barrier to entry that it was a no-brainer for us to try it," Sam recalls.
Implementation was smooth, with a few quick onboarding calls and comprehensive documentation making it easy to get started. The timing was perfect, as 10x Management had just solidified their go-to-market strategy with 2-3 distinct ICPs they wanted to target.
"It was the perfect opportunity to set up different campaigns that spoke differently to different types of personas," Sam explains.
The real breakthrough came with the release of Version 3 of Valley's AI. Previous versions required careful review of every message, as the AI occasionally referenced services 10x Management didn't offer. V3 solved this issue almost entirely, allowing Sam to shift into autopilot mode with minimal oversight.
An unexpected bonus was Valley's website intent data, which showed significantly better results than competitors:
"We actually tested one [intent data tool] concurrently at the same time as we were using Valley. And it was literally 8 to 10x the number of hits that we were getting on Valley versus the other product," Sam notes.

The website intent data has also revealed unexpected opportunities, showing interest from industries they'd never considered targeting before. "It's been a thought exercise of 'this is a type of person I would have never thought to go after, but now we're starting to see a pattern,'" Sam shares.
Looking ahead, 10x Management has just hired a dedicated SDR who will take over Valley management, allowing for more methodical campaign optimization and testing.
